DSS Re-Arrests Miyetti Allah Leader Bello Bodejo After EFCC Bail Release
Abuja, August 28, 2026 — Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Friday re-arrested the National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Bodejo, shortly after he was released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Bodejo had perfected the conditions of his ₦2 billion bail granted by a Federal High Court in Abuja on July 20. He was first arraigned by the EFCC on July 9 on multi-count charges bordering on alleged money laundering involving about $2.63 million. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. According to his wife, Hajiya Hauwa Bodejo, DSS operatives had been stationed at the entrance of the EFCC headquarters for several hours. As the family was leaving the premises after his release, the operatives rushed toward him and whisked him away in three vans.
